Cascading Style Sheet scripts
We wrote the two scripts below to demonstrate how presentation and content may be clearly seperated using CSS:
-
StylePicker - this should be really called StyleEvolver or something like that. It presents you with a standard page with a random style (random colours, fonts, margins etc..) and allows you to click on buttons to change the bits you don't like.
Hopefully, you end up with an entirely original and neat CSS to use on your site. What we like about this script is that it takes you in stylistic directions you would never think of otherwise.
-
StyleMangler - this uses a similar random style generator to StylePicker. Use this script instead of your normal CSS to create a web-site where every page has a different style.
Download the perl-code for these two style scripts:
- stylemangler.tar.gz - unix file format - size 12k
- stylemangler.zip - dos file format - size: 14k
